Each Technical Superintendent works within a Ship Management Team and reports to the Fleet Manager, and responsibilities include;
• Implementation of the Company's Safety Management Systems within defined areas of responsibility.
• Liaising with Masters and crews regarding operational matters and problems raised, keep the Fleet Manager appraised of any problems/defects on vessels.
• Carrying out regular inspections of marine and safety equipment on vessels to ensure compliance with current legislation.
• Assisting with and/or carry out accident/incident investigations including root cause analysis.
• Ensuring Company owned and managed vessels are operated in a safe, efficient and economical manner, and in full compliance with Class and Statutory regulations.
• Supporting the Fleet Manager with the appraisals of Masters and Chief Engineers.
• Support the Fleet Manager, as required, with Chief Engineers appraisal and make recommendations as appropriate.
• Liaising with vessel Masters and Chief Engineers, and providing technical advice and assistance where necessary.
• Ensuring that the vessels continue to meet standards and criteria required by clients.
• Undertaking regular inspections of vessels, and compiling condition reports on hull, machinery and equipment.
• Co-ordinating and supervising vessel voyage repairs, utilising approved sub-contractors as required. Ensuring that all repairs are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner, and within operational budgets constraints.
• Preparing accurate and comprehensive vessel dry dock specifications, and supervising dry dockings and repairs to completion as directed.
• Liaising with repair yard management, sub-contractors, Class and Flag State to ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with agreed specifications and time schedules.
• Providing written reports as required, detailing voyage repairs and surveys. Producing regular work reports and costs during dry docking and repair periods
• Supervision and review of planned maintenance on vessels
• Reporting regularly to the Fleet Manager, highlighting problems, progress, defects and repairs.
• Repairs and maintenance of all hull and machinery items, including fast rescue and daughter craft and associated machinery.
• Preparation and maintenance of fleet data records both onshore and onboard the vessels.
• Managing lube oil analysis samples and records.
• Take on call duty on rotational basis as required.

Our client are urgently seeking a Hydraulic Engineer who would be responsible for the maintenance of heavy cranes, derrick and any other hydraulic deck/drilling equipment. The vessel is currently working in the North Sea.
Experience on a DSV is essential
1. Shall be responsible for the maintenance of the installed hydraulically powered systems, to enable them to be operated in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Shall diligently carry out, in a safe and efficient manner, any task to which they have been directed by the Chief Engineer.
3. Must be familiar with the hydraulic machinery and systems under their control. In addition must have a full understanding of, and abide by, Company procedures, policies and instructions.
4. Shall assist with survey and other work as required by the Chief Engineer.
5. Shall ensure that they record, accurately and comprehensively, all information required for maintenance records and hand-overs, and that the manuals and drawings are kept updated. Hand-over notes will encompass a comprehensive coverage of their work during their period of engagement on the vessel.
6. Will notify the Chief Engineer of spare gear and store requirements.
7. Keeping the Chief Engineer fully informed with the progress of any work they have undertaken and shall notify them of any defects or problems within their allocated area of responsibility. If any defect occurs which could affect any ongoing operation, the Bridge Officer and any involved party must be informed immediately.
8. Shall inform the Diving Supervisor before undertaking maintenance or repair to operational or non-operational diving system equipment.
9. Review the Safety Notices, Marine Circular, Correspondence files and the WOOMS Amendment file in the current version of the OMS CD Rom, upon joining and re-joining the vessel.
Candidates must have BOSIET/UKOOA, ENG 1. The Ideal candidate will have COC/CEC, hydraulic experience/certification.

1. Main Purpose of Job
To provide a dedicated technical management of Service, maximising sales potential for hardware sales and coordinating service and technical support requirements.

2. Key Tasks

A dynamic project management company is looking to recruit a Telecoms Project Leader. Our client works with major players in the oil and gas industry and require a dedicated, hardworking individual to work with them to achieve excellent results. The role will be based offshore.
The successful candidate will have offshore experience and posses the necessary IT project engineering skills to carry out this leadership role.
Key Duties:
Leading Telecoms projects- ensuring projects are done on time, within budget and of the highest standard
Coordination, installation, configuration and testing of telecoms: LAN, WAN, cabling, power and server equipment on North Sea Oil installations
Provide updates to management
Resolve any problems that should arise
Manage a team of Engineers
Conduct regular meetings
Have knowledge of North Sea HSE requirements
Qualifications- The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering Telecoms and IT project implementation. Candidates will also have excellent knowledge of Cisco networking systems and telecommunication carriers.
Furthermore, a knowledge of VSAT, Tetra Radio, ATM, Frame and Relay would be advantageous.
The client would also prefer the successful applicant to have a sound knowledge of: Microsoft OCS, IPT, WAN accelerators, Wimax and WiFi.
Candidates should have formal qualifications in either; Telecommunications, Computing or Engineering Sciences.
This role may be available on a contract or permanent basis
